About Us
Two sisters who developed a love for fashion yet dreaded the lack of fashionable clothes out there for their rather curvacious figures. Things just got even more despressing when there were a lack of plus size online boutiques.
Therefore these two sisters sat in their small room and brainstormed of what would become of Trendy Confessions today. Both wanted both trendy clothes as well as ones that can fit up to more curvacious figures. The name Trendy Confessions came about one stuffy afternoon after an hour or so of debate. It embosses the meaning of the confessions of looking trendy (duh!), so we feel like we’re sharing fashion with our dearest customers.
The elder sister, Jiar Yi / Trudy, would be the brains and management behind the biz. She is the managing director, accounts executive, storekeeper and model of TrendyConfessions, among her many other positions. She says that she is now at awe at how hard models have to work and think they deserve more credit than they have. At the moment, she is an accounts executive at a multi-national corporate company and enjoys holidays, thai massages, manicures, jewelry and rearranging furniture.
The younger sister, Jiar Hwei / Trina, is the true plus size mascot of Trendy Confessions. Constantly being teased of her size didn’t prompt her to lose some weight, instead developing her own random fashion sense (and disasters!) Holding the position of creative executive officer, photographer, marketing manager, web designer and many more. She is currently completing her diploma in advertising and marketing communications at IACT.
Together, this sister duo is crazy, hyper and super loud. To witness this, do drop by at any of the events we attend.
Trendy Confessions started in March 2008 where the sisters had to learn alot from trial and error. Eventually, they branched out into their first love: bags(!) by forming Just Bag It in August 2008. Their rather unpopular vintage site Dress Vintage came soon after in September. The younger TC member also branched out into her little project of handmade headbands and eventually non-handmade accessories as well at The Fashionistas, currently closed due to hiatus. Now, Trendy Confessions have found it’s permanent spot in the cyberspace with their URL www.trendyconfessions.com and Just Bag It's www.just-bag-it.com
